Pricing:

The Plus plan costs $24.99 per month and gives you access to unlimited design projects. With the Premium plan for $99.99, you can remove the Spoak watermark. 

Best for:

New eDesigners or those just getting started.

3. Studio Designer

StudioDesigner includes project management, team activity tracking, time billing, business reports, invoices, and payments. It also provides robust built in accounting software and generates detailed reports on all key metrics making it a great fit for larger design firms.

However, the system is known for being a bit more complicated to use than other programs so just be aware of that. You also need to input a lot of information for the system to be able to generate those detailed reports.

Note: It does not offer moodboard or floor plan software, so you’ll need additional software to cover your design needs. 

Pricing:

For the Basic Plan, you’ll get access to everything except time billing, calendar and team activities. That plan costs $48 per month. Or you can pay $64 per month to unlock everything.

4. MyDoma

MyDoma includes features for proposals, invoices, package sales, intake forms, product catalogs, product clipping, 3D floor plans and renderings, and client communication. You can embed design packages in your website, get sales, and take the project from there.

The Solo plan costs $59 per month, while the Team plan costs $79 per month.

Full Service interior designers, eDesigns and small to medium sized firms.

5. Houzz Pro

With Houzz Pro, you’ll get a 3D floor planner, financial management tools, proposals, invoices, and product sourcing. According to Capterra reviews, designers say that there is a steep learning curve, and the platform isn’t super intuitive.

They do also provide lead generation services but the reviews are very mixed with many saying the services are severely overpriced. If you are considering it, just do a little research and ask other designers in your Facebook groups about their experience.

Pricing:

Houzz Pro is far more expensive than other platforms on the market. The Starter plan is $89/month and the Pro plan is $199/month.

Design-only tools for professionals

This category of software only includes features related to creating designs, with nothing for business management. 

6. Chief Architect Interiors

Chief Architect Interiors is robust floor plan, elevation and 3D rendering software. You can specify materials, produce plan and construction drawings and it includes thousands of options for cabinets, appliances, furnishings and textures. 

Pricing:

The monthly fee is $199 per month and cancel when you want, or pay a one time fee of $2,395. 

Best for:

Architects and remodel contractors.

7. Autodesk 3ds Max

3ds Max is a professional 3D modeling, rendering, and animation software. It can be used by both interior designers looking to create 3D renderings as well as by furniture product designers who need to create mockups of their products for fabrication. It’s a bit more popular amongst interior furniture designers rather than interior designers, but it can be used for both.

Pricing:

3ds Max costs $225 if you pay monthly or $1,785 if you pay annually. The latter option will save you 34%.

8. Autodesk Revit

If you’re looking to create 3D floor plans, Autodesk Revit is a better choice than Autodesk 3ds Max. This tool is used by architects, general contractors, and engineers. It’s a great fit for interior designers who do remodeling projects—and who aren’t afraid to learn complex software.

Autodesk Revit will set you back $335 per month if you pay monthly or $2675 per year if you pay annually.

9. Archicad 25

Another software for architects, engineers, contractors, and interior designers, Archicad 25 supports over 40 export and import file formats, including DWG, PDF, XLS, SAF, IFC, and BCF. It’s also interoperable with Autodesk Revit. You can analyze structural loads and improvements, making it a fit for designers who undertake complex renovation projects.

Archicad 25 doesn’t publicly share their pricing information, so you’ll need to contact their sales department.

10. Infurnia

Interior designers will need the Pro plan, which costs $99 per year.

12. MagicPlan

Keep in mind that you could track leads manually in Asana or ClickUp as well.
